Stop Dog Barking Fast – Dig Into 7 Tested Tips by Penny Jones

Do you feel as though the ability to stop dog barking in your noisy pet is something that is simply out of your reach? You may feel as though it can never happen, that your pooch is just too determined to make noise, but there may actually be a cause to this racket.

To start, your dog may be trying to tell you something about his or her needs. If you stop dog barking altogether, you’ll be taking away your dog’s first way to tell you that he or she wants to go outside, wants to come inside, is hungry, scared, lonely, bored or in some other way uncomfortable. If you can’t stand barking, you should your research before selecting a breed of dog to adopt that is predisposed to barking such as Beagles, Yorkies, Fox Terriers, Schnauzers, and Cairn Terriers.

Of course, there is a difference between deciding to stop dog barking completely, and simply cutting the excess noise. This is a matter of teaching your dog the times when barking is acceptable – and when it is not.

Let me share some tips I learned from my favourite train a dog program.

It has helped me successfully train my dog and easily stop all bad behavior habits he had in only few days.

These are the seven secrets to stop dog barking:

1. Take charge – keep on top of the barking habit. Immediately after your dog barks, use a command to stop it. Instead of shouting the command, think of the sound an alpha dog would make when growling a warning at another pack member.

2. Ignore your dog if it seems that it is only barking for attention. Do this by turning completely away from your dog, never looking at him or her, and walking straight out of the room. If the command has not been accepted, never give your dog any attention or you will be unable to stop dog barking.

3. Give praise – when your dog does stop barking, give immediate praise. Make the praise pleasant and genuine so that your dog knows that you’re pleased with his or her behavior.

4. Exercise your dog every day to stop dog barking that results from pent-up energy. Walk your dog once or twice every day and provide him or her with enough additional exercise that there isn’t an abundance left over, making it harder to stop dog barking.

5. Avoid boredom – not having anything to do is one of the primary causes of barking. Make sure that your dog has lots of great toys and that you give him or her tons of attention every day.

6. Build a routine – if you make the daily routine predictable, then your dog will feel less inclined to try to vocalize his or her needs. For example, feed your dog at the same time every day so you don’t have to be informed that he or she is hungry.

7. Don’t waste your time by attempting to stop dog barking at all times. It is only the excess yapping that you can eliminate. By bringing a dog home, you have to accept the fact that barking is a part of what that animal is all about.

By using these seven techniques, you’re guaranteed to stop dog barking that is excessive and unwanted, and finally have some peace and quiet.
